War at Migori County assembly over Obado ouster – VIDEO

Kenya Police were forced to restore order in Migori County Assembly offices after MCAs differed over the impeachment motion of Governor Okoth Obado. – By Gerald Gekara.

According to a video doing rounds on social media, several MCAs were up against each other after Obado’s ouster motion was tabled.

Nominated MCA Mary Ogodo appeared to have broken her arm during the scuffle. 

Prior to the debate, Governor Okoth Obado claimed that the party had orchestrated a plan to have the voting process interrupted.

Obado claimed that ODM had a plan to tamper the voting process with the help of the police.  

“The senator met MCAs and fake party delegates to discuss my ouster. If due process is followed, the impeachment motion will be dead on arrival,” Obado said.

Obado also claimed that Migori County Speaker Boaz Okoth was intimidated to have the motion passed without any stale mate

ODM is yet to make a statement concerning the motion, or the allegations aired by governor Obado.
