The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will on Monday, 4th October 2021 launch the Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) initiative.
The month-long operation, which will be officially inaugurated in Nakuru County, aims to register over 6 million new voters, the bulk of whom would be first-time voters.
Kenyans are being asked to participate in the exercise in order to confirm their eligibility to vote in the 2022 General Election.

IEBC officials on Sunday 3rd October briefed educators on the procedures at Constituency levels in readiness for the exercise.
The new voters are important for presidential candidates as they determine regional strength.
The data will be used to craft alliances for 2022, along the vote vault lines oscillating around Deputy President William Ruto, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi, Musalia Mudavadi, and the GEMA cabal led by Martha Karua.
Kenyans primarily vote along regional and tribal lines.
