5 terror suspects doing surveillance at Whiskey River Pub arrested

Five terror suspects have been arrested by officers from the Anti Terror Police Unit while carrying out a surveillance of Whisky River, a club located at Kiambu Road, Nairobi.

A police report indicates the suspects were arrested on Saturday and several items were recovered from them.

Items recovered include a car, jungle green T-shirt and a hat, jungle trouser and a Kenyan Air force trouser,cheques and a laptop.

A US Passport, one US embassy security card and money in various currencies among them the Kenyan shilling, US dollar and Somalian Shilling were also recovered.

They have been identified as Mohamed Abas Mohamud,  a US citizen, Mohamed Hassan Bario, a Somalia national and Mohamed Adan, a Kenyan.

The others are Hodan Abdi Ismail and Ifrah Mohammed Abshir who are female Somalia nationals.

The suspects are being held at Pangani Police Station.
