On Sunday night, the body of a 15-year-old Standard Eight student was discovered hanging from an avocado tree at his grandparents’ home in Bomet Central Sub-Chesoen county’s district.

Bomet County Police Commander Ms. Naomi Ichami confirmed the incident, saying the deceased; Emmanuel Kipkorir left his parents’ home, which is a few meters away, to go to his grandparents’ house, only to be found hanging on a rope on an avocado tree outside his grandparents’ house at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

It’s unclear what prompted the adolescent to take his own life, but an inquiry into the tragic tragedy is underway.

In March, the deceased was scheduled to take his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams at Chesoen Primary School.

The deceased’s body has been transported to the mortuary at Longisa Referral Hospital for an autopsy and further inquiry into the occurrence.
