Martha Karua, the leader of the NARC Kenya party, claims that only Raila Odinga, the leader of the ODM party, knows if she is the best candidate for his presidential bid in August.
Karua says her options are still open at the present, despite anticipation that she will soon be revealed as Odinga’s running mate.
When asked about the possibility, Karua told the Standard on Sunday, “Only Raila can tell you that.”
Karua stated that she is currently focused on her party, OKA, and the Mount Kenya Unity Forum, of which she is the president.
Karua stated that she is fighting for equitable development and representation with MKUF.
Karua claimed that the country’s development was balanced among its regions, but that some have improved while others have lagged.
“That is why we need equal development,” Karua explained.
The NARC leader has already stated that she is more concerned with securing the Kirinyaga governorship than with placing herself as a potential presidential running mate.
