Kibera, KPA clustered for COVID monitoring

The Government has reported increase in violence and sexual since the introduction of measures to curb Covid 19.

Consequently, the Government has warned the law has not been suspended and ordered those engaging in the vice that they will be prosecuted.

According to Dr. Mercy Mwangangi, various agencies of the Government are monitoring the situation.
Mwangangi however urged Kenyans to embrace coexistence during these hard times, rather than engage in violence.

At the same time, the Government has clustered the COVID 19 dangerous centres as Kibera, Kenya Ports Authority, Quarantine and Hotels as flash points of infection.

Consequently, mass testing will be enhanced on all the hot points to ensure the disease is controlled.
Dr. Mwangangi regretted that the COVID 19 pandemic has rapidly spread out to the counties and said concerted efforts with regional government was being undertaken.

Mwangangi said the Government focus has turned to community spread, hence the need to empower counties to deal with the epidemic spread.
Dr. Mwangangi said the law will catch up with those flouting regulations set out by the Government, saying those doing so are endangering Kenyans.
