Kilifi Governor to vie for Presidency in 2027

Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has announced that he will go for the Presidency in 2027 through his Pamoja African Alliance(PAA).

The Governor who spoke in Sokoke ward, Ganze after the official launch of the party s grassroots campaigns said that he had told Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga that his PAA would give him the presidential votes in the August General Election but that he would be in Presidential battle in 2027.

“Those who said that Kingi was launching the party because he is retiring must know that I am not going anywhere. In fact, I told Me Odinga that I am giving him the presidential votes now but I  will be on the ballot for the Presidency in 2027,” the Governor said.

Governor Kingi has now embarked on meetings and rallies to push for his agenda of popularizing his political outfit which he formed after leaving ODM last year.
The Governor said his PAA political party strongly advocates for unity, cohesion, and equitable share of national resources across all regions of our great Country.

“As a party, we are rallying the Coastal people under one political umbrella, while reaching out to like-minded parties at the national level to ensure we reap maximum benefits from the Azimio la Umoja Government after this year’s General Election,” he said.

Governor Kingi together with other Kilifi leaders held the consultative meeting with grassroots leaders at Matanomane grounds in Sokoke Ward, Ganze Sub-County, and that such meetings he said will continue.
