Kenya Wildlife Service has confirmed a wildfire outbreak in the Tsavo Conservancy area on Wednesday, July 22 – By Gerald Gekara.

The fire that guttered down vegetation on thousands of acres of land was reported in a ranch bordering the Tsavo East National Park, Tsavo West National Park, and Kinduku, inside Chyulu National Park.

This incident comes after another fire incident was reported on May 29, razing down over 4,000 acres within the Tsavo East National Park.

Conservationists have been moving with speed to secure the habitat, whose damage could take years to reclaim, leading to loss of wildlife and pasturelands.

In what appears to be a season for the fires, some parts of Europe and the USA have reported mammoth wildfires that have brought down millions of Hectares of vegetation.

Greenpeace Russia has reported an estimated 19 million hectares, about 47 million acres, of forests, steppes, and fields have burned across Siberia since January. About 10 million hectares of these territories suffered forest fires.
