Marcell Jacobs Crowned Fastest Man In The World

Marcell Jacobs of Italy won the men’s 100m final in Tokyo 2020 with a career-best performance.

At the Tokyo Olympic Stadium, the Italian surprised everyone by winning from lane three in a time of 9.80 seconds, setting a new national record.

He defeated a strong field that included Fred Kerley of the United States and Andre de Grasse of Canada, who took silver and bronze respectively.

Following the retirement of Jamaican legend Usain Bolt, the new men’s 100m Olympic champion is crowned for the first time since Athens 2004.
