Ruto Blasts Uhuru For Intimidating Chiefs

UDA presidential candidate William Ruto has once again attacked President Uhuru Kenyatta claiming he is using State officers to manipulate the August 9 polls.

The DP in yet another onslaught against the President questioned the head of state for allegedly using chiefs and other state officers to influence the outcome of elections.

“Mr President, why are chiefs and other public servants being forced and threatened in secret meetings to undermine, manipulate and sabotage peaceful elections? ” he posed in a statement on Facebook.

Ruto asked the President to stop sowing seeds of discord saying the country needs to remain peaceful before, during and after elections.

“What will it benefit you to foment conflict amongst innocent Kenyans? Boss, let’s not take the country in this direction.”

The Ruto camp has in the recent past been accusing the Interior Ministry Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho of coercing chiefs into supporting their opponent, Azimio’s Raila Odinga.
