Following a meeting with Public Service CS Aisha Jumwa, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna stated that politics is never personal.
On Saturday, the lawmaker shared a photo of himself and the former Malindi MP in Mombasa.
“I ran into Waziri Aisha Jumwa at Mombasa airport and congratulated her on overcoming all obstacles, including those I laid myself, to land the docket,” Sifuna said.
Sifuna, who also serves as ODM Secretary General, stated that they had a good laugh with the CS before parting ways.

The first term Senator had previously described the appointment of former Malindi Mp Aisha Jumwa as the CS nominee for Public Service as a farce.
“‘There are people in Kenya Kwanza like Kithure Kindiki who are qualified for any government position, but Aisha Jumwa is a farce.”
“She is not competent or suitable for any position,” Sifuna stated last month.
Sifuna and Jumwa’s feud dates back to the Msambweni parliamentary by-election campaigns in 2020 when the two took part in a heated exchange of nasty words.
They were later summoned by NCIC.
However, the Senator apologized for his insulting remarks against Jumwa, claiming that they were overly graphic and that he did not intend to advocate for sexual violence.
