Infrastructure CS James Macharia has said the Mau Summit Malaba highways will be converted into a dual carriage road.
The 240 kilometre road will be dualled to ease transport congestion in the northern corridor after the dualing of the Nairobi Mombasa Road hit a snag.
The Government is negotiating the possible funding with the US Government.
The first phase of the Nairobi Mau Summit Nakuru highway is already ongoing.
This follows a ruling in KeNHA favour by a tribunal following an appeal.
