Man Kills Brother Over Ksh 50 Debt

Mr. Nickson Matumbai, 61, died on Friday after being allegedly stabbed to death by his 33-year-old brother and their 50-year-old cousin.

According to reports, the two brothers’ had a dispute over a 50 shilling debt that was what caused the loss.

James Makenzi, the victim’s younger brother, noted that his brothers had a history of fighting whenever they drank.

Nickson Matumbai was the victim of this behavior.


James claims that in addition to their 33-year-old brother who committed the crime, his cousin who he believes must know of other parties who might also have taken part in the murder of Matumbai was also involved.

This tragic incident took place in Bungoma County in the Misikhu area.


According to Webuye East police Chief Martha Ngetich, John Musamali, the chief of the Misikhu location, informed Webuye police about the incident, and the two major suspects have since been taken into custody.

According to her assessment, the deceased had significant injuries on his lower chin and forehead.

The officers removed a walking stick and a blood-stained cutting tool from the site.


However, the state of the dead body may indicate that a knife and various blunt objects were used in the murder of Nickson Matumbai, an incident that sources allege happened because the guys were from a local bar where they regularly consume unlawful beer.


The body of the deceased is currently being processed in the mortuary at Webuye County Hospital.
