Azimio la Umoja Coalition has dismissed the Kenya Kwanza coalition power-sharing deal unveiled by Deputy president Wiliam Ruto terming it as the biggest con game in the country.
Addressing a press conference in Malindi ODM Secretary-General Junet Mohamed and ODM deputy party leader and Mombasa Governor Al Hassan Joho said the agreement has clearly shown that Kenya Kwanza was based on creating positions for a few people and not the mama mboga and common people as propagated by DP.
Mr. Mohamed said the agreement was unconstitutional as t had created positions that do not exist in the constitution.
“We now know that the Kenya Kwanza Plan for taking over power and governing in the likely event that they take to power the UDA will produce the President and the Deputy President that’s to say that the coalition UDA will produce William Ruto as the president and also produce the Deputy President,” he said
Ruto’s coalition agreement was tabled to the registrar of political parties yesterday and shows Aman Congress party Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula will get a 30 percent share of his government.
Further, Mudavadi will be the Chief Cabinet Minister while Wetangula will be the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi on the other hand will be able to get the senate speaker but his PAA party will have to deliver 50 percent votes from Kilifi County and five parliamentary seats including Malindi Magarini, Kilifi North.
Ruto if elected will revive the BBI and create the Chief cabinet Minister and shall be in charge of government ministries, implementation of government policies, and security.
He said Mr. Mudavadi has been promised to occupy a non-existent Prime Minister.
“From this lineup, it clearly shows Kenya Kwanza under the patronage of William Ruto is about positions not about the common people mama mboga bodaboda but about positions,” he said.
He saw what they have shared are con positions as they are the same Ruto condemned for the last four years.
Mohamed said Ruto, Musalia, Wetangula, Mutua, and Kingi are the Mama Mboga he has been talking about for the last four years.
“Ruto said there would be no sharing positions in his line up I don’t know where you remember this, but Ruto’s party was to operate without positions with everyone just walking around,” he said.
He said Kenya Kwanza is a con of the decade adding that when the history of conmanship is written politically Kenya Kwanza will be featured.
Mr. Mohamed said the four men Mudavadi, Wetangula, King, and Mutua have been conned by Ruto as they have been given positions that were to be given to them instead of bodaboda and Mama Mboga.
He said Wetangula and Mudavadi have to deliver 70 percent votes from Western which they won’t achieve and will miss the positions.
Governor Joho on his part dismissed Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi for saying he will ensure port services will resume to the Coast.
