A 78-year-old bar owner has hanged himself after killing his employee.
The incident occurred At Matunda commercial area in Gatanga, Murang’a county.
The senior owner was discovered at the joint on Tuesday, while the 56-year-old woman was discovered in her apartment.
Regional assistant chief Mary Gachau said the body of the woman was covered in extensive panga wounds, but no trace of the murder weapon.
Police from Ithanga police station transported the two remains to General Kago mortuary in Thika.
The incident adds to the tally of suicides and murders in the country, that has been flagged as a worrying trend.
Police officers have launched investigations into the murder.
