Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u, CS National Treasury and Economic Planning met with Mr Manuel Moses, CEO of the African Trade Insurance Agency, today at the Treasury building to discuss potential strategic collaborations.

The meeting’s discussions focussed on how to improve current ATI products to promote SMEs in line with the government’s Hustler Fund Program, which aims to increase financial access for individuals and MSMEs in the nation.

A share certificate from ATI was also given to the CS at the meeting.

Via loans and supplier credit, the African Trade Insurance Agency promotes foreign direct investment into its member countries in Africa.

Traditionally, ATI has covered deals reached through bilateral negotiations between lenders and the Kenyan government.
