The Kenya National Highways Authority has cautioned motorists against crossing several rivers in Lower Eastern.
The rivers are:
- River Galole at Waldena along the Mutomo- Waldena (B88) road.
- River Kololo, Kalavati and Enziu on Mwitika-Endau-Twambui (B87) road.
In a traffic advisory to motorists KeNHA has urged them to be extra careful while crossing any river bridges in the country during this heavy rains season.
The authority is also monitoring roads countrywide to issue any advisories required and motorists to be vigilant while using the roads.
So far over 130 people have people have lost their lives due to the heavy rains that have continued to wreck havoc.
