Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is among the top five finalists nominated for Best Governor in the upcoming Mashujaa awards.
Pitted alongside his Machakos Counterpart, Dr. Alfred Mutua and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, Sonko will also be battling out with Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
The awards ceremony, which doubles up as a Gala night dinner, is to recognize and celebrate those who continue to bit the odds and whose contribution to the Kenyan community remains an inspiration to many.
The event is scheduled to happen in Texas state, USA, and will be hosted by comedian Teacher Wanjiku. Wanjiku has also been shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
