Syongila Interchange Takes Shape

The Syongila exchange along the Kitui to Tulia Road is taking shape.

The majestic project is part of the Sh. 17 billion Kitui-Kibwezi road being constructed by the Sino Hydro Corporation.

Once complete, it will ensure a smooth flow of traffic to Machakos, Thika, Mutune, and Mulutu.

The 193-kilometer stretch was awarded to the EPC Contractor and was constructed ahead of schedule in December last year.

The project, under the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), starts at Kibwezi Town about 210km south of Nairobi and continues to the North through Ikutha and Mutomo to Kitui.

It then proceeds to Kabati and onwards through Tulia to Migwani.

Kibwezi, Kitui, and Migwani youths have been engaged in employment.

A good majority of them getting rare training opportunities that have benefitted more than 2,000 locals in masonry.
