Residents of Soweto, Kibra have until November 30 to vacate their premises so as to give way to the slum upgrade from the ministry of Housing.

Director of Slum Upgrading program at the Ministry of Housing Charles Shikuku says that one, two and three-bedroom houses will replace the shanties that are there now and that the project targets 4,335 affordable houses.

While talking to the residents yesterday he requested them to open up bank accounts where money will be deposited to facilitate their relocation.
