Kim Kardashian Officially Drops ‘West’

Kim Kardashian is back to being a Kardashian.

Kim made it Instagram official one day after a Los Angeles judge granted her plea to be legally single.

During a hearing on March 2, the judge also granted Kim permission to legally revert to her maiden name in the midst of her pending divorce from Kanye “Ye” West. So, naturally, the SKIMS founder updated her social media profiles in the evening of Thursday, March 3.

While her married initials have been removed from her Twitter and Instagram accounts, she continues to advertise her KKW Fragrance brand, which bears her married initials.

Thursday was an unusually busy day for the reality star in more ways than one.

She began the day by tweeting images from her 6 a.m. trek with The Anti-Recidivism Coalition, and then made news for defending her boyfriend Pete Davidson after Ye released a violent music video in which the Saturday Night Live star was addressed.

Friends defended Ye after seeing his video, including James Gunn, who wrote, “For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. He is a very compassionate, tender, and hilarious spirit who respects everyone around him with dignity.”

Kim responded by like the tweet, making her position clear.
