Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has been arrested over assault.
Police officers surrounded his home on Monday morning, acting on a P3 form brought forward by a local musician cum contractor, Steve Kay.
Barasa will be arraigned for causing bodily grievous harm to the musician.
Masinde spent Sh4.4 million upgrading five classrooms at Lurare Primary School in Kamukuywa Town, Kimilili Constituency.
Before handing over the classrooms to the area leadership, he had reportedly received an upfront payment of Sh1 million from the Kimilili CDF coffers and was waiting for Sh3.4 million to be put into his account.
However, his attempts to block the opening ceremony were stopped by a ruthless slap caught on camera.
