Arati Publicly Differs With DP Gachagua Over Ongwae, Angwenyi State Jobs

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Kisii Governor Simba Arati argued over hiring former Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi, and former Kisii Governor Simba Arati.

He claimed that doing so would prevent him from joining Maandamanos, being former members of Azimio.

Sylvanus Osoro, the majority whip in the National Assembly, repeated Gachagua’s sentiments about providing Angwenyi a position.

He urged Ruto to find a job for the former MP in Nairobi.

Kisii Governor Simba Arati, however, opposed the idea, saying the two should retire because they are elderly.

Instead, he believes that jobs should be given to the majority of young people.

“I speak for the Kisii and would like to point out that Ongwae and mzee Jimmy have been around for a while and that we have youthful people. We are willing to offer the elderly something tiny for medication, but if you need work done for five years, give it to the youth “Arati stated.

He also stated that after completing his two years as governor, he will either run for president or retire.
