President Uhuru Kenyatta will for the first time in 3 months share a podium with embattled Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

The Governor has been on the spotlight over garbage collection graft investigations by the EACC.

The President will open the Nairobi International Trade Fair today, according to a news dispatch from State House.
The news alert says Sonko will be among the dignitaries at the event.
Lately, President Kenyatta has shied away from leaders indicted by EACC over graft.

He has already penned a statement with the EACC.
The event will be the first engagement by the head of state since arriving from a successful tour of the United States.

The exhibition, which is taking place in Jamuhuri park, has involved local businessmen and international counterparts.

The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Developing Creativity and Technology in Agriculture and Commerce.”

Upon his arrival, President Kenyatta will inspect the Assembly Hall in the Jamuhuri garden and later inspect the parade of honor to be organized by the security forces.

The National Leader will also visit various booths including the Department of Food and Agriculture, the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology booth, the Ministry of Oil and Mining and the National Police Service booth.
