Terror Convict Sentenced To 100 Years In Jail

Osman Lado Gale was sentenced to 100 years in prison by the High Court in Isiolo for being a member of a terrorist cell. 

The accused was found guilty on all 12 counts against him. 

Lado was discovered with a mobile phone carrying various videos at Isiolo Police Station on March 28, 2017. 

The tape, according to police, was intended for use in the conduct of a terrorist act. 

According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the offence violates Section 24 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act of 2012.

On September 14, 2022, Lado was found guilty by Isiolo Law Court chief magistrate Lucy Kathure.

He will serve 15 years on the first count, 30 years on count two, 15 years on counts three through nine, 12 years on count twelve, and 25 years on counts ten and eleven.
