President Ruto Attends Church Service In South Korea

President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto attended an evening church service at the Myung Sung Presbyterian Church in South Korea on Wednesday.

In his address to the congregation, the Head of State urged the church to continue praying for world peace and stability.

He also affirmed the role of religion in Kenya’s August 2022 election, which saw him emerge victorious from a field of four men.

“In the last election, it was not just about issues of politics, it was also a referendum between those who believe in God and those who believed in men. And those who believed in God won,” President Ruto said.

Mrs Ruto, for her part, urged the Church’s leadership not to tire of providing social support to the community, such as education and medical care.

“We all know that once a church is established in a given place, schools and hospitals will follow and the local community will benefit,” said Mrs Ruto.

President Ruto also laid a wreath at the Seoul National Cemetery in memory of soldiers who died during the Korean Independence Movement War in South Korea.
