Details have emerged that David Kurgat, the Nakuru police constable who died minutes after visiting his girlfriend at a rented house, took tea at her house.
The officer who was attached to Kiptagich Police Station was reported to have visited the house of Lucy Chepkorir, whom he had known for barely a week.
Police officers arrested the middle-aged lady after the officer was found dead.
“We have arrested a female suspect who was with the police constable at her house on Friday night. His body was recovered minutes after they parted ways,” Kuresoi South Sub-county police commander Henry Nyaranga said.
Kurgat’s wife Sophie recalled the last moments she spent with her late husband, who had visited them three days before he met his death.
“He visited us on Tuesday, July 20, and had a chat with the children, encouraging them to work hard, to be focused on their studies.
